Q: English is not my first language. Can you help me
in my home language?
A: The combined knowledge of our staff allows us to help
you in: Spanish, French, Italian, German, and English.
Q: What types of vehicles do you have available for rent?
A: Prestige has a fleet of nearly 100 vehicles. We rent
all types and classes ranging from small economy cars, small-,
mid-, and full size SUVs, Vans from 7 to 15 passengers, and
Luxury SUV. If you don’t see it on our web site, just ask… we
probably just ordered what you are looking for.
Q: What type of deposit is required?
A: Prestige requires a credit card deposit from all of
our clients. When you rent from us, we put a hold on funds equal
to the amount of your rental, plus the insurance deductible
and one tank of gas. When you return the vehicle, you can choose
to pay with your credit card, or we can release all the funds
on your card and you can pay cash and get our Cash Discount.
Most of our customers choose to return the cars with no damage
and a full tank of gas and, therefore, have no extra charges.
Q: If I take the insurance with Prestige, how much is
my deductible?
A: In La Romana and Bayahibe offices the deductible on
our insurance policy is $250.00 USD for Economy Car, Compact
Car, Mid-Size Car and Small SUV. $500.00 USD Compact SUV, Mid-Size
SUV, Magic Minivan, 7 - 8 - 9 -15 pax Van. $1000.00 USD Full
SUV and Luxury SUV.
Q: So if I get in an accident, I have to pay $1000.00
US Dollars?
A: Not necessarily. Our team of mechanics will assess
the damage to the vehicle and give you a fair estimate as to
what the damage will cost to fix. Our team is well versed and
experienced in this process—they will not take advantage of
you, but they will give you a fair and honest price based on
local costs for material and labor. Often times, the repair
costs to the vehicle will be much less than the deductible of
the policy. We invite you to compare our policy to ALL of our
competitors.
Q: I’ve heard that Prestige Car Rentals is the only Car
Rental company in the Dominican Republic that believes in superior
customer service, and that “the customer is always right”….
Is this true?
A: Well, there is a lot of competition in this country.
We invite you to ask around. We invite you to shop around. We
invite you to come to any of our offices and sit down with any
of our staff. Is it true that we are the only ones who believe
in superior customer service and that “the customer is always
right”? We can’t say for sure, but we can tell you that we’ve
heard the same thing more than once.
